About Our Facility
An Exceptional Rehabilitation WingOpened in September 1998, our rehab wing includes patient rooms with full baths, televisions, and telephones; a separate dining room; and a large physical therapy room. There's also a separate occupational therapy room with kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom set-ups, to help patients practice activities of daily living before returning home.
Our rehab wing also features an enclosed courtyard with gazebo and a therapy garden. The therapy garden includes many surfaces people encounter at home, such as stairs, grass, gravel, and sand. Walking in the therapy garden helps patients regain their independence.
Amenities to Enjoy
In addition to therapeutic outdoor areas, our facility features two other lovely areas where residents and their visitors can relax and enjoy the fresh air and Florida sunshine. Our center courtyard features a koi pond and is landscaped with decorative topiary. We also have a garden with wheelchair-high flower beds, where residents can exercise their green thumbs.

The Red Hat Society
In addition to the many programs and amenities at our facility, we host a chapter of The Red Hat Society, a group dedicated to fun after 50 for women of all walks of life. We are certified by both Medicare and Medicaid.
JCAHO Accreditation
Oakhurst Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO is an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets standards for well-run healthcare facilities.
Visiting Hours
Visitors are always welcome. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome, too.
